Commissioning A Sculpture
Commissioning a sculpture is a great option for patrons looking for a piece Jeff hasn't created yet. Commissioned works do not cost any more than a ready-made sculpture, as all prices are based on the size and complexity of each individual sculpture. After some discussion about what the commissioner is interested in, Jeff and the commissioner will agree on final price, size, and shape.
Once an agreement is reached, a 50% down payment is requested. Timelines for commissioned works vary; Jeff will be able to give an estimated timeline for completion during discussion. In general, expect at least a two month turnaround on commissioned work. If there is a reason the timeline needs to be shorter (upcoming birthday or holiday, for instance), it can certainly be discussed.
After receipt of the down payment, Jeff will begin work on the sculpture. Once the piece is functional, the commissioner will receive pictures of the sculpture for approval. Once approved, the sculpture will be packed in its custom crate for shipping. Final payment is due once the sculpture is ready to ship.
